UC Davis Energy Efficiency Center
Together with our network of technology, university and strategic partners, the Energy Efficiency Center at the University of California, Davis (EEC) identifies promising energy-efficient technologies, develops viable business ventures around those technologies, and connects those ventures to the financial, physical, intellectual, and social capital that will be critical to their success. Its mission is to accelerate development and commercialization of energy-efficient technologies.
CalCEF is proud to be the founding sponsor of the UC Davis Energy Efficiency Center (EEC), the first academic center of excellence for energy efficiency in the United States. Established via a $1.0 million challenge grant from CalCEF, the EEC relies upon strong partnerships and collaboration with industry, government, and universities to meet the demands for innovation in energy efficiency, business development, and the growing need for a trained labor force. The EEC has strong ties with the private sector, public agencies and utility companies in California, which aid in the transfer of technology into the marketplace.
